California.
New York.
New Jersey.
Greece.
GM.
Chrysler.
Federal Government.
How many more examples do we need that leftist promises of free benefits without repercussions are sustainable in the long term?
California has been on the verge of bankruptcy for some time now, and will have to be bailed out by the Federal government at some point. The cause of California's budget woes?
Given that CA is the 6th highest taxed state in the country, it's not high taxes.
Like most other deficit states, the cause of the deficit is lavish social programs, waste, and wages/pensions for unionized state workers.
For NJ, NY, other deficits states: lavish social programs, waste, and wages/pensions for unionized state workers.
What about Greece, what is the cause of Greece's deficit? Lavish social programs, waste, and wages/pensions for unionized Greek workers.
But what about GM/Chrysler? They don't have social programs, but what caused GM/Chrysler to go bankrupt? This time it's just waste and wages/pensions for unionized workers. GM was the #1 seller of cars in the world, yet their high labor costs caused their bankruptcy.
See a pattern here?
The fact of the matter is that around the world, the promises of leftist politicians are coming to fruition: massive debt and economic destruction around the world.
Do we have to go bankrupt as a nation to see that we shouldn't believe the endless happytalk of Democrats? What will it take for people to wake up?
